Illuminating Nature

  • Moe Botanical Gardens, under the oak trees Narracan Drive Newborough, VIC, 3825 Australia (map)

Take a pinch of mystery, a stir of excitement and a mix of magical dust and delve into the working with what nature brings, in the form of inks, with which you can paint, make marks, and print in various forms on cloth and paper. Engage with the creative spirit and energy of the Moe Botanical Gardens.

It is a bright exciting way to connect with places of the heart. This art approach can represent beliefs in how we live and interact with our surroundings.  It is a visual record of time, of place and of engagement.  It is heavily influenced by the nature of the art materials we create and use and the inspiration of our natural environment.

We will demonstrate creating your own natural inks made from ‘place’, we will be using materials that tell the story of growth and regrowth with layers of meaning connecting us to our places and the stories that arise from those places.
